After three successful years, the Totley Music Festival has become an annual opportunity for bringing people together to celebrate and enjoy the musical talents of people from Totley and beyond, through a week-long programme of musical events.
The Festival began in 2009, with events which included superb jazz and folk evenings, and two fantastic events organised by Totley Primary School and All Saints Primary School. Various local venues were used especially the Crown and Fleur de Lys pubs - though one event even took place in a private house! And the Cabaret Variety night at Mickley Hall was such a resounding success that it was repeated in 2010 and 2011!

We've so far managed to keep costs to a minimum, and with the financial support of the Totley Residents Association, we've been able to put on all events free of charge:  all the performers gave their services free, and all venues were provided free of charge.

You can find a report on the 2011 Festival through the link on the left.

Our thanks to all the Festival performers, who give their time and their talent to the Festival free; to the venues; and to the Festival sponsors: Totley Residents Association, Masterchef, the Cross Scythes, the Fleur de Lys, Duo Hairdessers, Abbeydale Sports Club and Liberty Foods. Thanks too to Hilary Hall, John Beazer, and John the Quizmeister. Thanks too to YOU for coming along and supporting the Festival events – it wouldn't work without you!

Looking ahead: we need more feedback from YOU ! If we're to develop the Festival for 2012, we really need to know what you'd like to see and hear. We also need suggestions for performers and venues. Our phone number and email details can be found on this website, so please give us a ring and leave a message, or send us an email ! We really want your feedback and ideas! Until next year, music lovers!
